KCC News

Tri-Annual Members Meeting

Members, mark your calendars for next Wednesday, June 25th at 7pm. This is an important event in the life of the church where critical business is done, so all members are encouraged to attend. Members should have received a separate email with some homework to attend to ahead of time!

Weekly Volleyball

KCC is running a weekly volleyball game on Tuesdays and could use a few more players! Contact Pastor Travis if you're interested. Bring a friend and have a great time!

Call for Greeters and Nursery Volunteers

We have continued need for Nursery Volunteers, Greeters, and shortly Ushers to help with the Sunday Service. Interested individuals can reach out to Jonathan Moore (ucfaerostd@gmail.com) for more details and to sign up. This is an excellent way to better know and serve the church body.

Men's Ministry Survey

If you are a man who regularly attends King's Cross Church, you are invited to fill out this very brief survey on ways to improve our men's ministry. For any questions, reach out to Sherwin Lee.

Upcoming events

Clothing Swap

The women of the church are organizing a clothing swap for ladies and children. It will be on Saturday, June 28th from 3-5pm at the VanDuine residence. Contact Hannah Delgado for more information or to RSVP.

Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary Presentation at ERBC

While KCC joyfully partners with Reformed Baptist Seminary, there are other excellent seminaries that come from the same confessional perspective, Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS) being one of them. Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church in SeaTac will host a CBTS presentation on July 13, at 5pm.

The speaker, Brice Bigham, is the CBTS Director of Development and Marketing and a Pastor at Grace Reformed Baptist Church Owensboro KY. The presentation will cover academic training, pastoral mentoring, accessibility of courses, domestic and international programs, and how we can pray. Light snacks will be provided after the presentation in our downstairs fellowship hall. If planning to attend, please RSVP by July 6 to Pastor Mike Villa at msv077@comcast.net

KCC Teen Community Events

The Dales will host two KCC teen community events at their home on Saturday, July 19 and Saturday, August 9. Details will follow but save the date for these Saturday barbecues for all the teens of KCC from 5pm to 8:30pm

Youth Retreat

The Reformed Baptist Church of Riverside, CA (a sister congregation of KCC in both FIRE and RBNet) hosts a large annual Youth Conference in Southern California – the largest such gathering of Reformed Baptist youth on the West Coast. This year's conference in June 27-30. While individual youth may attend, a larger group would require adult chaperones from KCC. Please talk with Pastor Nick if you have an interest in sending any youth to attend.

Fire Church Member

Gateway Bible Fellowship in Dacono, Colorado!

We would appreciate all the prayer we can receive from our fellow FIRE churches. We are in the last few days of getting our new facility ready to move in. Our church plant is coming up on 18 years old, and we are finally on the doorstep of moving into our own home. We still have quite a bit of work that needs to be done, and then there is the all-important "sign off" by the city that will grant us occupancy. We are feverishly working and we would appreciate the prayerful support of God’s people to assist us in attaining that goal.

Sincerely,

Mike DeVries
